Hailed as one of Britain's most stylish icons, Kate Middleton was recently slammed by Millie MacIntosh for wearing too much eyeliner. Known for designing the duchess wedding gown, Sarah Burton vowed not talk about her clients and the secrets behind the iconic gown.

On her recent interview with You magazine, the former "Made in Chelsea" star was asked who she wants to give a makeover to. Surprisingly, she claimed that she can do wonders with Kate Middleton's look and fashion. According to her she can help Kate to look "less middle-aged" and could use some bright colours in her makeup.

"I would love to give the Duchess of Cambridge a makeover. I think Kate wears too much eyeliner," the 25 -year-old make-up artist told the publication.

"She would look great if she toned down the eyes, wore some bright lipstick and mixed up her hairstyle - a scraped-back high pony would look fantastic. She'd look great in one of my little wrap dresses as she has such a gorgeous body and I think it would be fun - less middle-aged - and a bit sexier without being too revealing."

Meanwhile, Sarah Burton refuses to talk about Kate Middleton's famous wedding gown and was surprised about the level of interest for the Duchess' gown. Known as Alexander McQueen's creative director, Burton revealed that she used to struggle with fame and finds it difficult to adopt to the "fashion" lifestyle.

'I had no idea it would be as big as it was. Only the night before, seeing all the photographers outside the abbey, did I think, "Oh, my God. This is massive," Burton said in an interview posted on Metro.

An extremely private person, the famous designer takes pride of keeping her clients business to herself and won't divulge any information about her famous clients. She fondly recalled about making Kate's wedding dress and was honoured that she was picked up to make the most recognizable wedding dress in history.

A huge fan of Alexander McQueen label, the Duchess of Cambridge worn the luxury label for many of her public appearances and official engagements. The most famous one aside from her wedding gown is the dress she wore for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Other engagements that she wore the label was during her Royal Tour early this year in New Zealand and Australia.
