American actress Kate Hudson has finally spilled the beans for calling off her engagement with Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy.

The couple got engaged in April 2011 and decided to part ways in 2014. They confirmed their split only in December 2014 and decided to keep the reason secret. However, Hudson now appears to be in a mood to discuss what went wrong with their relationship.

"Relationships ending are painful, and you can choose to carry that or you can choose to reframe it. If Matt and I had a great relationship, we would still be together, but we chose to move on because we had different visions of how we wanted to live our lives," she told Allure Magazine.

Despite their split, both Bingham and Hudson try to stay connected for their child. "It's been a seamless transition. Kids just want to see their parents be cool. Everybody's cool; everybody's good," she said.

The “Bride Wars” actress has a son Bingham, 4, with Bellamy and son Ryder Robinson, 11, with ex-husband Chris Robinson. She also said that the kids are her priority now and she finds it hard to stay away from them.

Hudson, who too had a troubled childhood, is aware of the hardships that children face after the separation of their parents. Her parents--Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson--divorced 18 months after her birth.

The 36-year-old actress also graces the November issue of Allure magazine, where she appears effortlessly gorgeous in a sheer black dress. She has discussed about her upcoming flick “Rock the Kasbah” in which she portrays the role of a prostitute on the verge of retirement. In the movie, Hudson is paired opposite much older actor Bill Murray.

"I love to kiss Bill Murray! He's still sexy!" Hudson told Allure about her 65-year-old co-star.

“Rock the Kasbah” is an American comedy film directed by Barry Levinson. Set in Afghanistan, the film revolves around a young prostitute ( Hudson) and retired music producer Richie Lanz ( Murray). The movie is slated for an October 23 release in the United States.
