Kate Beckinsale and husband Len Wiseman headed for a split
Actress Kate Beckinsale and director Len Wiseman have reportedly ended their 11-year old marriage.
Beckinsale and Wiseman have been separated for months now but successfully managed to keep their breakup under wraps, People reported. Wiseman is reportedly spending time with a young model in Los Angeles. He was recently spotted at the Hollywood hotspot The Nice Guy on Tuesday, where he was accompanied by model CJ Franco, 24. The director was not seen wearing his wedding band, according to People.
"They are still friendly and spend time together in L.A. when Kate is there. There has been no drama. It's just not Kate's style. They have both had complicated schedules and have grown apart," People quoted a source. However, neither Beckinsale nor Wiseman officially confirmed their relationship status.
The source also revealed that Franco and Wiseman "have a genuine connection” and it was the third time that the duo was seen together in 2 months. While Wiseman appears to have found love again in Franco, Beckinsale is not considering the idea of starting a new relationship. The website reported that the actress is currently focusing on her movie projects and her daughter, Lily Sheen.
The 42-year old actress was previously in a long-term relationship with actor Michael Sheen and the couple dated for nearly eight years and has a 16-year old daughter Lily. They later parted ways in 2003. She then started dating her “Underworld” director Wiseman during the shoot of the film. The pair got engaged in June 2003 and married in 2004.
Beckinsale told Glamour UK in July 2012 that she was toiling over the idea of having a child with Wiseman. However, the couple does not have any children together.
The rumours suggesting the split fueled up for the first time when both Beckinsale and Wiseman were seen without their wedding bands a few months back. However, neither of them discussed the details of their relationship publicly. The couple was barely seen together at events after last attending the American Music Awards in 2014.
On the work front, Beckinsale is currently shooting for her upcoming flick “Underworld 5” in Prague.
