The ending of a the long very long story of how Ted Mosby finally met the "Mother" of his two kids has finally ended and fans are all saddened as they tweet on the 'How I Met Your Mother' finale with the hash tag #HIMYMFarewell. After spanning for nine seasons, the cast of the hit comedy series all shared their thoughts and how they felt now that the five friends will never grace the McLaren's bar.

Everyone has waited to see the "Mother" but seeing her would ultimately led to the inevitable death of the series, however, fans are both happy and sad with the show as it did have a good long run before finally saying its farewell in March 31st. Yet, followers of the show reminisce the best moments of the gang before finally saying goodbye to Ted, Barney, Robin, Lily, and Marshall.

Those who have truly loved the show have even forsaken other activities just to watch the hour-long finale of the hit series while some have tweeted that they cried like a baby after seeing the most awaited finale.

The casts will move on with their lives finding new career paths after the legendary finale, according to Time. Josh Radnor (Ted Mosby) has not yet announced any future engagements after the show but he was last seen in the film "Afternoon Delight" in 2013.

While the funny couple, Cobie Smulders (Robin Scherbatsky) still has the "Avengers" franchise, "The Lego Movie," and "They Came Together" to look forward to and Neil Patrick Harris (Barney Stinson) has "Gone Girl," "A Million Ways to Die in the West," and "The Good Dinosaur." Alyson Hannigan (Lily Aldin) has "More Time with Family" while Jason Segel (Marshall Eriksen) has "Sex Tape" and "The End of the Tour."

Fans will eventually move on too, while some shared that they might need therapy after the show ends. However, a spin-off the show is coming which is entitled "How I Met Your Dad."
