Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels rubbished rumours that he has already sealed pre-contract deal sealed with FC Barcelona, which is believed to take effect next summer.

Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen recently moved to the Nou Camp during the previous transfer window, but Barca are still in search for a centre-back who can rightfully fill the void left by retired skipper Carles Puyol.

In spite of his link to one of the biggest clubs in the world, the 25-year-old is adamant that he has no plans of moving elsewhere.

"According to various media outlets I've negotiated with several clubs and already signed a pre-contract with Barcelona, but there isn't a grain of truth in any of it," said the World Cup winner.

"I've never really planned to leave here for anywhere else."

BVB are a relatively modest side compared to the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, but the Die Roten youth product, who still believes in staying loyal to a club, opined that such factor makes victory sweeter.

"In 2012 when we won the Bundesliga for a second time all of us could have gone where we wanted, but I made a clear decision to stay at Dortmund because I felt what we had here was something unique," he added.

"It's a lot more difficult to win titles but it's also possible. Therefore, if you can achieve that the emotion is even greater."
