Borussia Dortmund have reportedly handed Manchester United an ultimatum regarding the transfer of Jadon Sancho in the underway summer window.

Dortmund have set a 'take-it-or-leave-it' asking price of around $106 million-plus add-ons for Sancho, reported sports media outlet talkSport.

Earlier, Manchester United had made an improved bid that was around $105 million for Sancho, according to Sky Sports. However, Dortmund were left unsatisfied once again after they had already rejected an opening bid of around $95 million from the Red Devils. It is believed that Dortmund won’t give in to Manchester United’s lower offers as Sancho’s asking price set by the Bundesliga giants is already lower than his current market value that is around $114 million, according to Transfermarkt.

Dortmund want to seal the deal for Sancho before they begin their pre-season training camp on July 23. Sancho has agreed to personal terms with Manchester United but the Old Trafford side is yet to reach a deal with Dortmund. Dortmund are believed to be eager in offloading Sancho as they want to cash in on the talented midfielder, whose current deal is due to expire in 2023.

Last summer, Manchester United’s attempt to sign Sancho failed as they were unwilling to meet Dortmund’s demands of over $138 million for the English midfielder.

Even though the negotiations are still underway between Manchester United and Dortmund, both the clubs are "confident and optimistic" over reaching a deal soon for Sancho, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has a credible record in the transfer market.

Sancho is currently on international duty with the England national team at the Euros 2020 but he is yet to play a game. He was ignored by Gareth Southgate for England’s matchday squad for their opening game against Croatia, while he was not brought off the bench in their goalless draw against Scotland.

Ahead of the Euros 2020, Sancho said that speculations over his future would not impact his performances for his country.

"I’m cool about it. There’s always going to be speculation, especially when you do well. It’s just how you handle that on the pitch. You’ve got to keep doing what you’re doing, if you keep on doing that then I’m sure that won’t be a problem. The main thing is my football and that’s what I’m focusing on at the moment," Sancho told talkSport in an interview.
