Amazon is offering a discount of $140-$160 on Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 tablets that were released last year. The 16 GB and the 32 GB edition of the tablet is available with a discount of $140. Also, the 64 GB Kindle Fire HDX is available today with a price cut of $160. This year's model is named as Fire HDX 8.9.The 16 GB edition is available with a discount of $140 for $259. The regular retail costing of the device is $399. The 32 GB version can be availed with a price cut of $140 for $274. However, its original retail price is $414. The 64 GB edition of the Kindle Fire HDX can be bought with a higher $160 discount for $449.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, which came out in 2013, is packed with decent specs. The tablet supports a display resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The quad-core processor that powers up the device can produce a clocking speed of 2.2 GHz. It is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and it features Adreno 330 graphics.

The rear-facing camera of the device is of 8 MP. The front-facing camera supports video calls of 720p quality. It features a customized version of Android and it only allows users to download apps through Amazon Appstore and not through Google Play Store.
