With only two weeks left “Dancing With The Stars” rolled on to Week 8. The remaining six couples danced to “America’s Choice” besides doing the “Trio Dance” on May 5. With the result show returning on May 6 all the pairs put in their best foot forward in face of the double elimination, according to ET Online. Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy set fire to the ballroom with their passionate dance scoring the highest point of the night and the season’s first 40.

After a rough week, Rumer and Val were back in action with their couple rumba routine. Both of them got a standing ovation from the audience and even the judges were clearly impressed. For the trio dance, they paired with Artem Chigvintsev and ruled with a bullfight routine. But it was Rumer’s show-stopping dance which was the focus of the night earning her one of the highest score in the show’s history.

Besides, Riker Lynch and Allison Holker gave an amazing performance with their first passionate dance. The dance of the night showcased a lot of passion, anger, pain, love and pyrotechnics. For the trio dance, Riker and Allison paired with Brittany Cherry.

Besides, the other pair who was one of the frontrunners of the night was Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough. Despite a broken toe and sprained ankle, Derek performed this week as part of Nastia’s trio dance as an emperor. Nastia and Sasha’s roman-themed costumes looked amazing, but Derek’s costume looked a damper. But in spite of these, the trio garnered appreciation from the judges.

Meanwhile, Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess killed it in the costume department with their tango. Galloway started off with his doubles routine in a white tuxedo and ended the night in a purple tuxedo. The army veteran danced with precision and earned 31 points. “The Bachelor” Chris Soules in spite of his being a mediocre dancer heated up the night with his sexy contemporary dance. Julianne gave the Iowa former the “Most Improved” award, and Chris credits Witney for her patience in teaching him.

“Shark Tank” Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson’s routine had a kiss. Carrie Ann thought the kiss put a special sparkle in his eye, and Len told the couple, “You’ve got a big fan in me.” Julianne agreed with Carrie Ann and thought that Robert upped his game this week. Bruno compared their routine to a deodorant commercial. Tune in to ABC at 8 p.m. every Monday and Tuesday from now onwards to watch the show.
