The most shocking announcement of the night on "Dancing With The Stars" Week 7 of Season 20 was the elimination of Willow Shields and Mark Ballas. Even after tying for second place with a 37 out of 40 and winning their dance off against Riker Lynch and Allison Holker, the duo were given the boot for their futuristic jazz routine, according to ET Online. The consistently high-scoring couples Willow and her pro partner Mark and Rumer Willis and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy were in jeopardy. One of the frontrunners of Season 20 was sent packing while the dreaded double elimination was postponed to Week 8. The “Eras Night” witnessed the seven dancing couples dancing to a style from a particular time period on April 27.

Willow and Mark did a futuristic jazz routine. Ballas invented something called Ninjazz as he wanted to do a ninja routine since a long time. But the “Hunger Games” star though had her reservations about the ninja-themed routine, she trusted that Ballas knew what he was doing and so gave her best shot. The judges in their critique were all praise for the pair, though Carrie Ann Inaba had some comments for Willow’s arm movements.

Even it was sad that Derek Hough couldn’t dance due to his injuries. But there was a positive to the entire night as Derek’s partner Nastia Liukin and here new stand-in partner Sasha Farber earned the highest score with 38 points. The couple along with Derek performed on the backdrop of an elaborate subway set with Andy Grammer performing “Honey I'm Good” live. Derek also incorporated himself into the routine, while Nastia earned immunity from elimination.

Ryker Lynch and his partner Allison Holker were a sight to watch with their 1920s baseball inspired quickstep routine. But it was their tap session that they indulged in midway through their routine which stole the show. The R5 frontman and Allison moved with ease through their entire routine and earned 37 points with a 10 from Len Goodman.

Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess completely killed it with their 1970s jazz routine. The war hero showed personality in his dance by transforming into a pimp. Rumer and Val’s jive to a 1960s inspired routine earned them 35 points. Meanwhile, Chris rocked his 1940s foxtrot with Witney and earned a score of 31 being tied with “shark Tank” Robert Herjavec and his partner Kym Johnson. The latter unleashed their sex-appeal with the 1980s Argentine tango routine. Tune in to ABC at 8 p.m. every Monday and Tuesday from now onwards to watch the show.
