Warning: This article may contain spoilers for the coming 'Family Guy' episode this Sunday.

For all 'Family Guy' fans, the show will surely deliver the best Christmas gift by bringing Brian Griffin back to an episode this coming Sunday. It was last month when the 'Family Guy' dog was killed by the show's creators in a scene where the well loved dog was hit by a car.

According to TV Guide, the episode may have opened with Vinnie, the much talked about replacement of Brian Griffin but also showed the emotional best pal of Brian, Stewie whose Christmas wish to Santa was to have his Brian Griffin back.

To uplift his owner, Vinnie made efforts of even dressing up as Brian but still to no avail. Instead, they both tried Stewie's time machine to go back in the past and try to save the dog before getting hit in the street. When Brian was resurrected, he thanked Stewie and dropped a tear jerking line which says, "a lot of other families would have just gotten another dog and moved on."

So Why Did the Show's Creators Bring Brian Griffin Back?

It certainly created much buzz last month when the producers went through their plans of killing off one of the main characters of the animated show. And when it was eventually revealed that it was Brian Griffin, it became instant viral news online and made almost every fan out there outrageously sad about the major twist, IGN reported.

Comicbook.com even stated that there were 'Family Guy' fans that were so mad that they made a petition to bring Brian Griffin back. It even earned about 125,000 signatures that the most popular fan theory that emerged was that he would be back for the Christmas episode. The episode description also somehow gave it away when it stated: "Stewie devises a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas."

Seth MacFarlane even tweeted that the Brian Griffin death was just a part of a much bigger plan. It was never in their plans to evict Brian for good and instead they just wanted to create a warm and fuzzy lesson for fans to learn this Christmas and that to "Never take those you love for granted."

Let's all welcome Brian Griffin back in the show!
