Fans are gearing up for the return of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 9, which is currently on a midseason break for the NCAA Championship. Followers of the highly popular show are anticipating a brand new episode on March 31, titled “The Soldier Excursion Diversion.”

The ninth season of “The Big Bang Theory” have delivered exciting runs so far, and marked its 200th episode titled “The Celebration Experimentation.” So far, fans of the show have also seen a number of famous stars who have signed up as guest stars.

Here are nine of most memorable guest stars of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 9:

Keith Carradine as Wyatt
The veteran actor returned on the third episode of season 9, titled “The Bachelor Party Corrosion” to reprise his role as Penny’s father. On this particular run, Penny decided to call him to tell him everything about Leonard. The “Deadwood” and “Nashville” star first appeared on the show on its 2010 episode titled, “The Boyfriend Complexity.”

Adam Nimoy as himself
On the show’s seventh episode titled “The Spock Resonance,” TV director Adam Nimoy was invited as “The Big Bang Theory” paid tribute to his late father, “Star Trek” legend Leonard Nimoy. The television director filmed part of his documentary “For the Love of Spock” during the episode.

Bob Newhart as Arthur Jeffries
Notable stand-up comedian and actor Bob Newhart signed up as a guest star on the show’s eleventh episode, titled "The Opening Night Excitation." The Emmy winner reprised his role as Arthur Jeffries, who appeared as a ghostly Jedi in Sheldon’s dreams to help him make a big decision.

Jane Kaczmarek as Dr Gallo
On episode 12, titled "The Sales Call Sublimation," award-winning comedy actress Jane Kaczmarek signed up as a guest star to play the role of Dr Sarita Gallo. The “Malcolm In The Middle” star acted as a psychiatrist whom Leonard met when Penny made a sales call.

June Squibb as Meemaw
Veteran television and movie actress June Squibb added star factor to episode 14 of “The Big Bang Theory,” titled “The Meemaw Materialisation.” She played Sheldon’s grandmother, who paid him a visit to check out Amy. She revealed that she distrusted Amy, and inadvertently let it slip that Sheldon will propose to her. In the end, Meemaw told them that she won’t come in between the couple.

Alessandra Torresani as Claire
Episode 14 also saw the first appearance of “American Horror Story” favourite Alessandra Torresani as a writer of children’s science fiction series. She met Raj, and posed a love triangle story with Raj and Emily. The young actress also appeared in the next episode, titled "The Valentino Submergence," as well as episode 18 titled “The Application Deterioration.”

“The Big Bang Theory” commemorated its 200th episode, titled “The Celebration Experimentation.” It centred on Sheldon’s big birthday bash, organised by his friends, wherein they invited Adam West, the original Batman. Noted scientist Professor Stephen Hawking also appeared in the episode as he gave a video greeting for Sheldon. “Roseanne” star Sara Gilbert returned to reprise her role as Leslie Winkle, Sheldon’s archenemy and Leonard's love interest in the early seasons.

Fans of the show are excited to see more big stars to join the gang, composed of Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Howard (Simon Helberg), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Amy (Mayim Bialik), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Emily (Laura Spencer).

The Big Bang Theory” Season 9 will wrap up on May 12, according to TV Guide. The show airs every Thursday on CBS in the U.S.
