Harlem rapper Azealia Banks pulled off from her scheduled appearance at last week's Lollapalooza in Chicago and at Osheaga Festival in Montreal due to 'severe throat infection'.

Lollapalooza organisers tweeted about Banks' condition and released a new schedule for the Saturday lineup, while singer Miguel replaced her for Osheaga where Frank Ocean was the headliner.

She has not given any statement about her throat infection. However, fans were quite annoyed with Banks when she posted photos on her Instagram from her international tour stops.

One IG user questioned her, "Thought you were sick?"

The 22-year-old rapper has been known to cancel her gigs the last minute. In 2012, she canceled numerous UK and European dates explaining that "They were all prematurely booked by my old management without any consideration for me and the album I need to finish!"

The album she was referring to is the over-delayed release of 'Broke With Expensive Taste'.

In addition, Banks' 2012 Splendour in the Grass festival performance was cut short to just 25 minutes and blamed the organisers' equipment for her shortened set.

She also had a spat with rockers Stone Roses earlier this year in Australia, stating that the group hijacked her set by doing sound checks while she was performing.

Banks was recently involved in a Twitter war against British singer Lily Allen, who called her a one-hit wonder. In return , she tweeted that Allen's children are ugly and accused her of being a drug addict.

She tweeted: "One hit, but am certainly NOT a wonder. Just played for 70k at glasto, critics STILL eagerly anticipating my debut. Suck on that hoe!"
