Ariel Winter looked stunning at the Microsoft Theater, where she showed up for the 2016 Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday in the US. However, it can be argued that one can hardly go wrong when wearing a dress inspired by Kylie Jenner.

The 18-year-old actress was confident in her sheer dress, which displayed her curves flawlessly. It had a thigh-high slit that showed of her legs without being over-the-top and jewels that were strategically placed to hide whatever needed to be hid.

She sported a matching pair of bejewelled silver sandals and kept her hair away from her face in an elegant low bun. The “Modern Family” star even had raven-coloured nails to match her hair. She finished her look off with subtle makeup and minimal jewellery.

The whole outfit does look similar to an ensemble recently worn by Kylie during New York Fashion Week. Though it was a shorter version, there is no denying that the two women wore the same Yousef AlJasmi dress. Kylie even had her hair in a bun while sporting the dress as well.

Nevertheless, Ariel felt amazing on the red carpet and she was unapologetic about it. In her interview with E! News, she spoke about how incredibly easy the choice was to make.

"This was actually the quickest decision," she shared. "I saw it, tried it on, and I was like, 'This is what I want to wear,' and that's that."

Other than her wardrobe choice, Ariel took the time to explain why she decided to take a year off before starting her freshman year at UCLA.

"The problem is I had made my schedule, and when I went to production, we couldn't make it work due to heavy storylines,” she explained simply. “So unfortunately, I have to go next year instead of this year.”

“Modern Family” returns to the small screen this month on ABC in the US. It airs on Ten in Australia.
