Google has released the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for fixing the Android 5.0 Lollipop problems. Currently, Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update is available for Nexus tablets like Nexus 7 2012, Nexus 7 2013, Nexus 9 and Nexus 10; Nexus smartphones like Nexus 6, Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 along with Google Play Edition handsets like HTC One M8, HTC One M7 and Moto G 2013, states Gospel Herald.

Android 5.0 Lollipop was first shipped with Google Nexus 6 and Google Nexus 9 tablet in October this year. According to Gizmodo Australia, the Android 5.0 Lollipop is plagued with several issues like the following:

Wi-Fi Connectivity Problems

Early adopters of Android 5.0 Lollipop claim that after installing the new OS update, they are experiencing unstable Internet connections and some other users have complained that are unable to access the internet. Users of Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 are the ones who are experiencing lot of connectivity issues.

Battery Related Issues

Users have also complained that after the Lollipop update, battery tends to deplete faster. Gizmodo Australia claims that battery life issues are more common than the Wi-Fi connectivity issues.

Sluggishness And Crashing

Android Lollipop is known for offering a fluid performance through its attractive Material Design UI. Users who have updated their devices to Android Lollipop are also saying that their tablet and smartphones are running sluggishly or crashing randomly.

Video Playback Issues

Nexus 7 2013 tablet users are experiencing video playback issues. Users are complaining that the device is unable to look for a video player for playing a video from YouTube.

Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Update For Fixing Android 5.0 Lollipop Issues

Google is releasing a new Android build, the 5.0.1 Lollipop update for aforementioned devices. The Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OTA update is now showing up on the said devices for fixing various Android 5.0 Lollipop bugs. BGR claims that users who have not installed the 5.0 Lollipop update can directly install the latest Android build manually by flashing their devices with appropriate ROM. According to NDTV, the new update with build number LRX22C will fix various issues related to Wi-Fi, app switcher, text messaging, frequent restating of apps and more.
