Philadelphia Eagles long-snapper Jon Dorenbos has advanced to “America’s Got Talent” season 11 live shows after earning the golden buzzer from R&B singer Ne-Yo for his impressive magic tricks.

The 14-year National Football League veteran and magician has stepped up in the competition after performing another card trick that left both judges and audience of the NBC talent show awestruck in an episode that aired Tuesday in the US.

Dorenbos, 35, took to Twitter his celebration for earning the golden buzzer.

“America’s Got Talent 2016” will have its first live broadcast of season 11 on July 26 in the US.

ESPN reported that Dorenbos is expected to report to training camp with other veteran Philadelphia Eagles by July 25. It is not yet clear if Dorenbos will continue to compete in the show.

Backup plan

However, on his maiden audition for “America’s Got Talent,” last June 21 Dorenbos hinted about his position.

“It’s been my 14th year but as much we can achieve, there are new beginnings and new things to do,” he told AGT judge Simon Cowell.

“Let’s be honest here, NFL stands for ‘not for long,’ so you have to have a backup plan,” he added.

"America's Got Talent" season 11 aired its maiden episode in Australia last June 8. It airs every Saturday on FOX8.
