'Adventure Time: Islands' geared to reveal the ultimate fate of human race

“Adventure Time” new eight-part miniseries is still ongoing and it seeks to reveal the ultimate fate of the human race. One of the biggest questions that fans have is what happened to the rest of humanity, and this matter is expected to be resolved by the end of the miniseries titled “Islands.”
Fans can recall that there were very few humans left in the Land of Ooo as the majority of them were wiped out in the Mushroom War. It would be interesting to see where the humans are now, and if being in danger once has inspired them to push for a safer life away from the Land of Ooo.
“Adventure Time: Islands” follows the story of Finn (Jeremy Shada), Jake (John DiMaggio), BMO (Niki Yang), and Susan Strong (Jackie Buscarino) as they go on an exciting sea voyage. During the first half of the miniseries, the characters have been to fantasy locales where they have encountered several new adventures.
Fans would agree that the storyline for “Adventure Time: Islands” is reminiscent of previous episodes. The episode takes a mythological idea and puts a cheeky and modern spin on older plots.
The first chapter has seen Finn, Jake, BMO and Susan Strong on a sea voyage. “Adventure Time: Islands” episode 2, on the other hand, sees the quartet having a close encounter with a sea dragon named Whipple (Josh Fadem).
Whipple is an extremely annoying creature. He is fond of telling everyone he meets about his ideas for books and screenplays that he is about to write.
As the miniseries continues, the gang crosses different paths. AV Club has reported that there is a series of episodes that sees them dealing with their individual experiences on separate islands. Finn, Jake, BMO and Susan Strong were eventually reunited.
The new miniseries will be available on DVD, iTunes, Amazon Video and Google Play. “Adventure Time: Islands” comes with exclusive content and animatics, art gallery and song demos.
“Adventure Time: Islands” is the second miniseries of the coming-of-age show since it has started hitting the small screens in 2010. The first one was titled “Adventure Time: Stakes,” which went on air in November 2015. Those who have been tuning in to the show would remember that the first miniseries has focused on Marceline, the Vampire Queen.
Fans in Australia can catch the upcoming eight-part series on Cartoon Network. “Adventure Time: Islands” has premiered on Jan. 30 and will run through Feb. 2.
