'The Young and the Restless' spoilers for Jan. 5, 2017: Nick and Chelsea talk about their kiss; Gloria discovers Lauren’s secrets

“The Young and the Restless” kicked off the year with drama and suspense, involving betrayal, broken promises and secrets that could have been better if kept. For this upcoming episode, viewers will witness how a kiss has confused two people who might turn into a couple in the days to come. Meanwhile, things will get a little twisted on the business side and this could lead to some repercussions.

On Thursday , January 5, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will have the courage to talk about an intimate moment they just shared . Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman) will want to go back for work for Chelsea. Meanwhile, Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) will urge Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to wake up. Lauren Baldwin (Tracey Bergman) will keep Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) in the dark.
Nick and Chelsea will talk about their New Year’s Eve together , writes Soaps She Knows. They will talk about that steamy kiss and will try to figure out if there is anything new between them. Their situation appears unclear for now but, hopefully, they will sort out everything in the days to come.
It looks like there is more for Nick and Chelsea and that these two could be headed in to each other’s arms very soon. While they appear confused, they know where they want to be anyway. Sharon (Sharon McAvoy) will also see the two in an embrace . How this turns out will be revealed as the next episode airs.
As for Gloria, spoilers reveal that she will discover some of Lauren’s (Tracey Bergman) secrets. This could be a major problem for Lauren since Gloria will do whatever she can to exploit the situation. After that, Gloria will want to work for Chelsea again. Lauren will have to come up with a better move to handle the matter .
