How or why some people stick around through tough times and why some do not seem to be the theme for this episode of “The Young and the Restless.” Viewers will get to see a couple hold on, while things get a little mixed up on the business side.

On Wednesday January 4, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will tell Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) that he is ready to make a move on Fenmore’s. Hilary (Mishael Morgan) refuses to leave Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) side. Phyllis Abott (Gina Tognoni) will look forward to being of help to Lauren Baldwin (Tracey Bergman) to take her company to the top. Jack will get on his nerves while interacting with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Meanwhile, Soaps She Knows says there will be more tension for Jack and it will not involve Billy this time. Jack will reveal some aggression, which means that he is ready to make a bold move at Fenmore’s. What this exactly is and what effects it will bear remains to be seen when the episode airs.

As for Hilary and Devon, spoilers reveal that they will stick by each other despite everything they have gone through. This pair has been through a lot and now that Devon is struggling for his life after meeting an accident, it might be seen to a certain degree if they still care about one another. Their relationship might appear like it is on the rocks, but when things get shaky, they are still there for one another, after all.

On another note, it looks like Phyllis’ problems have moved on from choosing which brother to date to a business issue. Of course, she will be on Lauren’s side but what exactly she plans to do with the company and how it will turn out remains to be seen.

For Jack and Billy, it looks like things are still uneasy between them. They will have to interact at some point, but how long Jack can keep his cool remains another question.

This episode of “The Young and the Restless” will air January 4 on CBS in the US. It will also air on Arena in Australia.
