Simon Cowell is pulling all the plugs to boost ratings of “The X Factor USA.” One Direction has confirmed taking to the stage on Thursday episode of week 4 of the show’s live performances. 1D is set to perform their new single, “Story of My Life,” on Fox reality singing competition show.

Amid all reports of the Fox show getting axed mid-season due to poor audience share, the show’s officials confirmed that the English boy band is having a reunion with Uncle SiCo.

1D is close to Simon’s heart since the British mogul created the group on the “X Factor UK” in 2010. It was Harry Styles who coined the band’s name, “One Direction,” but it was Simon’s idea to form the group.

TXFU’s officials announced on its Facebook page that the group is performing their latest single, “Story of My Life.” The English crooners are also expected to make noise of their third album, Midnight Memories.

Their appearance on “The X Factor USA” has been creating a buzz with their millions of solid fan base waiting for their live performance. Their appearance on week 8 results night, however comes just four days before the release of their third album on iTunes, earlier set on Nov. 25.

The English band also took to their official account on Twitter and shared the good news.

"USA! 1D are performing #StoryOfMyLife on @TheXFactorUSA on 11/21! Who will be tuning in? Show starts at 8/7c!" One Direction tweeted, said Sugarscape.com.
