There is a lot of pressure on the shoulders of the final 10 contestants on “X Factor UK.” In the first week of live performances alone, 7.2 million viewers tuned in to watch, and as the roster of performers gets smaller, the pressure and expectations only increase.

5 After Midnight

Consisting of members Nathan Lewis, Kieran Alleyne and Jordan Lee -- aged from 20 to 23 -- 5 After Midnight first auditioned for the show with their rendition of Drake’s “One Dance.” Though Nicole Scherzinger asked them to work on their harmonies, the judges were generally pleased with their performance.

Emily Middlemas

Not a stranger to “X Factor UK,” the 18-year-old Scottish singer was actually part of the show in 2014. However, she was eliminated when Cheryl did not believe she was ready for the live rounds, and is pleased to make it further this season. Currently, Middlemas is dating fellow-contestant Ryan Lawrie.

Four Of Diamonds

Looking to be the next group act winner of the show, members Yasmin, Sophia, Caroline and Lauren -- aged from 17 to 21 -- hold no grudges against Louis Walsh, who originally sent them home before the live shows. Grateful for their second opportunity, the girls went on stage and sang “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” for their first live performance.

Gifty Louise

Like Middlemas, Gift Louise is no stranger to the set of “X Factor UK.” Unfortunately, she lost her voice during the boot camp leg last season, and she was eliminated because of her inability to finish the audition. When the 20-year-old was younger, she lived in Ghana but moved to London when her mother died in a car crash.

Honey G

Honey G, whose birth name is Anne Georgette Gilford, is probably the most controversial contestant this season. The 35-year-old worked in the IT industry for 10 years before deciding to pursue her career as a rapper. She is determined to prove her worth despite numerous viewers saying she should be eliminated.

Matt Terry

At the beginning of “X Factor UK” season 13, Matt Terry warmed the hearts of viewers. After he was dumped by his girlfriend, he quit his job waiting tables and auditioned for the show. He has since gotten back together with her. Terry was highly praised by Simon Cowell during his audition. The 23-year-old Bromley native sang a rendition of “Stand By Me,” which Simon said reminded him of the first time he saw Olly Murs.

Relley C

Relley C is a veteran of the show. Though she has successfully auditioned three times, this season is the first time she has made it to the live performances. Before getting on the show, she worked as housekeeper, which she admits is not a glamorous job. However, she is proud that it pays the bills and allowed her to follow her dreams.

Ryan Lawrie

Ryan Lawrie, 20, has had a tumultuous experience on “The X Factor UK” season 13. After unanimously making it through auditions, Ryan was eliminated after the boot camp segment. Giving him another chance, he was paired with others to form a boyband, which was eliminated as well. However, Simon picked him as a wildcard.

Saara Aalto

At the age of 29, Saara Aalto is no stranger to the stage. She was second place in “The Voice Finland” and has represented her country twice in the Eurovision Song Contest. Aalto has definitely been serious about her career for a while, as she studied musical education at Sibelius Academy and went on to study at the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory.

Samantha Lavery

A 17-year-old from a small town near Durham, Samantha Lavery was admittedly not a singer from an early age. Despite her minimal six years of singing, she has proven herself talented enough to belt it out with the rest of the contestants. Though Simon swapped her out during the Six Chair Challenge -- as she was thought to be over styled with very little sense of self -- Lavery returned as a wildcard thanks to Louis.
