You can't hide everything from Las Vegas. Now, they have high tech kind of streetlights that will serve as spy as it comes with cameras that can shoot and record videos along with sounds.

With the investment in Intellistreets, Las Vegas remains to be one of the greatest cities from around the world. The one of a kind lighting system has a good set of various "fancy features," according to Cnet News. They work more than just the usual lights for it can play music and send out messages which fit the personality of the sin city.

For Entertainment or for Spying?

Many doubt the purpose of these unique streetlights as some are feeling that it is just meant to spy like the trendy CCTV cameras of today. However, according to the Vegas Public Works Department, they simply want to deliver a different experience for those who visit the downtown area.

As for the company behind the concept of the Intellistreets, they have one goal and that is to contribute to an experience considered as "memorable." The company, called Illuminating Concepts, has been in the business since 1981.

Director Jorge Cervantes of the Las Vegas public works said that they have the purest of intentions to the public that they won't install any camera or recording device to the street lights yet. "It's just to provide output out there, not to get any feed or video feed coming back," the director shared with MyNews3.

Intellistreets is controlled with the use of an iPad. It does not just provide a threat of disrupting privacy but also offers high quality security features, if only seen as its brighter side.

So the next time you visit Vegas, do not be overly conscious with the street lights. At least you know how they work for now.
