“Veep” season 6 is currently being filmed. Details about the forthcoming season have been kept under wraps so far. However, showrunner David Mandel keeps posting behind-the-scene photos from the sets in order to whet the appetite of fans. Recently, he posted a picture of a mystery guest star and left the audience to guess who it is.

The picture shows the back side of the mystery actress. Hence, it is unclear as to who she is. However, fans suspect that it is Allison Janney, who is known for her role as CJ Cregg on the NBC drama “The West Wing.” It seems that the mystery will only solved after an official announcement about the same is made. (See the picture in the tweet below.)

Mandel quite often posts picture from the sets of “Veep” season 6. The posts don’t reveal anything about the plot or cast of the forthcoming show. However, it makes the audience engage with what’s happening on the sets of their favourite TV show.

Meanwhile, rumours are rife that “Blunt Talk” actress Mary Holland will play a prominent role in the forthcoming season of the show. Speculations haven’t revealed about the role that she will play in season 6. Also, the news has not been confirmed yet. Hence, nothing can be said to be true as of now.

Season 5 of the show ended last year. It showed President Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) losing the presidential election after a long-fought battle for the chair. The forthcoming season will show her adjusting to the life of a private citizen.

It would be interesting to see how Jonah Ryan (Timothy Simons) taking the President’s chair in the next season. His character is somewhat similar to US President Donald Trump. “Basically he is not a millionaire, although I guess neither is Trump, but Jonah is a thin-skinned know-nothing who is temperamental and has horrific outbursts. And yet oddly, somehow, he struck a chord with the voters,” Mandal revealed in an interview.

The air date for “Veep” season 6 (for US as well as Australia) has not been announced as of yet. However, speculations are rife that the show will air during spring.
