'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Caroline-Elena Gap Teased In Premiere Episode's Promo Video Clip [WATCH VIDEO]

The CW Network has released a video clip for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 premiere episode titled "I'll Remember" featuring Caroline (Candice Accola) and her mother, Sheriff Liz Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre). The brief sneak peek video teased how the blonde vampire deals with the death of her best friend, Bonnie (Kat Graham), to the point that it has affected her relationship with her other best friend, Elena (Nina Dobrev).

The promo video begins with Caroline explaining to her mother that she has not yet found the spell that will undo the anti-magic boundary spell that the Travelers cast over Mystic Falls in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 but she has a Travelers book that can help. However, Sheriff Forbes cuts off Caroline and tells her daughter that she should spend time with her friends.

When Caroline reminded her mom that they are going to see a movie together, Sheriff Forbes pointed out that the blonde vampire already spent her entire summer with her. Caroline thinks her mom is sick of her but Sheriff Forbes explained that Caroline is only holding on to something or someone familiar because she lost her best friend Bonnie.

"Elena lost her too," Sheriff Forbes stated. The sheriff added that Elena is also missing Caroline's company but the blonde vampire got upset and explained that Elena has decided to stay in "planet denial" or think about other stuff like football after losing Bonnie and Damon (Ian Somerhalder).

The sneak peek video ended with Sheriff Forbes telling Caroline to give Elena some slack. "Caroline, Elena has experienced more grief than anyone I've ever met," Sheriff Forbes stated. Have a look at the "I'll Remember" video clip below.

Caroline will be obviously struggling in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 premiere episode with the death of her best friend Bonnie, the mess that the Travelers left behind and the gap that formed between her and Elena. Meanwhile, a Wet Paint report speculates that things may not be looking good for the blonde TVD character based on the promotional poster of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6.

With Caroline as the only character on the ground, Wet Paint speculates the character's life could be in danger in the new season. It is further speculated that Caroline could sacrifice herself in order to bring back Damon and Bonnie since she is so invested in finding the spell that will put away the Travelers' anti-magic boundary spell over Mystic Falls.

Find out if Caroline will be able to undo the anti-magic boundary spell on Mystic Falls and cut Elena some slack so they could bond again in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. The new season is scheduled to premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
