The trailer for “This Is Us” was recently revealed, and aside from the star-studded cast, viewers were greeted by Milo Ventimiglia’s butt in the very first few seconds of the video. The “Heroes” actor plays a lead role in the upcoming NBC series opposite Mandy Moore, and he himself admitted to be surprised by his butt exposure.

“When I saw the trailer I’m like, ‘Wow, man, that is my ass and that is my ass before my face,” Ventimiglia shared to Vulture.

Ventimiglia admitted that he’d experienced shooting quite a number of nude scenes which allowed him to be an expert in hiding his private parts. The 39-year-old actor further commented that knowing it was NBC, he was confident in going naked expecting them to edit the take in a way to hide his behind.

“They can’t show this stuff on TV, it’s no big deal,” Ventimiglia recalled thinking. “They’re gonna cut and get a side of my hip, or anything like that. But no, Okay, here we go.”

To this, co-star Mandy Moore shared the experience of personally seeing the “Gilmore Girls’” actor’s naked butt. It seemed that while it was rather awkward to see her fellow cast’s behind right on the first day of filming, she was still able to cope up with the situation.

“I’m totally fine with it. It’s a really good butt,” Moore said and even joked. “I got to look at it for almost a whole day.”

“This Is Us” is an ensemble dramedy about a group of people who have the same birthday. Ventimiglia and Moore will play as married couple Jack and Rebecca who are about to have triplets. Justin Hartley will play as Kevin, a handsome TV actor who’s growing sick of his lifestyle. Sterling Brown will play Randall, who is in search for his birth father. And Chrissy Metz will play as Kat, who is battling an eating addiction. These birthday celebrators are in for some major life changes as they all turn 36.

“This Is Us” is set to premiere on NBC on Sep. 20. There is no official Australian airing date yet.
