"The Voice" Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin is now one busy gal as she juggles the busy schedule of her performances, guest appearances and interviews in Jamaica and Los Angeles. The 28-year-old recently received an important honor in her home town with more shows in store for her soaring music career.

On Sunday night, January 12, Tessanne Chin got hold of her "Gold Medal of the City of Kingston honor as well as a citation from Mayor Angela Brown Burke during the free concert held at Kingston's Waterfront dubbed as "Tessanne's Homecoming."

Ms Chin posted the following day on Facebook her appreciation for the honor that she received. The singer described the experience in the Jamaica Observer report as one of the most moving and proudest moments in her life. In another appearance last January 17, Tessanne Chin stepped into the shoes of a call center agent as she answered phone calls for Digicel Jamaica.

The singer even shared to her followers on Twitter this unforgettable experience. "Answering calls @digiceljamaica today #customercare :)," Tessanne wrote on her Twitter account @Tessanne as a caption to the Instagram image attached.

For her upcoming appearances, the Summerfest Producions Limited has confirmed that Tessanne Chin will perform at the 2014 Reggae Sumfest. According to the Jamaica Gleaner report, Summerfest executive director Johnny Gourzong expressed his excitement about having Tessanne Chin as the headline act for the music festival's line-up.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to present Tessanne at Reggae Sumfest 2014. Seeing how engaged our fans were during the competition, it made perfect sense to book her. With her immense talent, we have no doubt that she will continue to do Jamaica proud and that her career will soar in the months and years ahead," Mr Gourzong stated. Tessanne's previous performances since she won "The Voice" Season 5 include "Shaggy and Friends 2014" and her homecoming concert so expectations on her Summerfest appearance are high.

The report further revealed that the preliminary line-up of the key reggae/dancehall and international acts will be revealed on February since negotiations for the acts are still ongoing. The 2013 Reggae Sumfest is scheduled to take place from July 13 to 19 at Montego Bay.
