As the Surface Pro 4 release date nears, Microsoft has reportedly cut down the price of the predecessor Surface Pro 3. Apart from slashing the price, the tech giant has apparently added new, helpful apps to attract potential buyers.

Speaking of Surface Pro 3 price for a 64 GB version with Intel i3 processor on board, the device will reportedly set the buyers back by 579 GBP in the UK. Notably, the original price is 639 GBP. Also it is worth noting that, Microsoft has apparently unveiled a “PayPal bundle” for the device to make it more versatile for small business owners by letting them create a Point-of-Sale (POS) system. The new bundle is already available for the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 in the Microsoft store. In any case, readers should note that, the card reader has to be purchased as an add-on, however, the PayPal app for the special bundle can be availed for free from Microsoft, notes Inquisitr.

Meanwhile, Senior Manager of Microsoft Surface unit, Angela Lean, apparently stated the following when talking about the PayPal bundle with Beta News: “As part of Microsoft stores’ commitment to providing outstanding choice, value and service for small businesses, starting today, US-based small business retailers will be able to purchase the complete POS solution including Surface, the PayPal Here mobile card reader — download the PayPal Here app for free — and specific point of sale hardware accessories at full line Microsoft stores.”

By doing so, Lean says, customers will be able to try and experience the entire “PayPal Here app” for Surface POS solution set-up, prior to making purchase decisions. In addition, this bundle reportedly provides quick and easy go-to support resources, in case, the customers implement PayPal Here and Surface in their businesses. In case, small business owners are worried about the security, Microsoft has got it covered. The tech giant has reportedly decided to provide a lock and stand along with the PayPal bundle in order to protect the POS system, notes Inquisitr.

If this deal is not good enough, Microsoft is also apparently launching a new trade-in program specific to the Surface Pro 3. This means, any one that owns a Surface Pro 3 will be given a chance to upgrade to the upcoming Surface Pro 4. Furthermore, this program reportedly lets users to get up to $650 for the trade-in.
