A leaked photo of a toy reveals the new costume of Rey in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” Meanwhile, the producers have just released the official title of the film online, and cast member Mark Hamill appeared in a video and talked about his impression of the name.

The sequel film will be titled “The Last Jedi.” The title poster is in red and white fonts, as opposed to the soft yellow and white fonts of “The Force Awakens.” This is an ominous sign that the tone will be dark, something the cast members have been warning for some time now.

A video posted on the YouTube channel of Associated Press shows Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) reacting to the title reveal. The actor said that he was told the name of the movie while filming. Hamill was concerned at that time about inadvertently leaking it, and joked about his habit of talking in his sleep.

Reacting to the “Star Wars: Episode 8” title “The Last Jedi,” Hamill said that it was straight forward and minimalist, and that he liked that about it. He also briefly touched upon the name having a sense of the Samurai to it, but chose not to elaborate more.

The plot of the film is expected to focus heavily on why Luke Skywalker was on Ahch-To, and what he has been doing there all these years. The character had no dialogues in “The Force Awakens,” so the fans are excited to hear what he has to say and also see if he has developed any new powers.

Meanwhile, a blurry picture of a toy posted on Making Star Wars teases the new costume of Rey (Daisy Ridley) in “Star Wars: Episode 8.” The character is expected to begin her Jedi training on Ahch-To, and her new costume hints at more action for her. She will be wearing her hair down this time, instead of the three buns style of “The Force Awakens.”
