The flashback scenes in “Star Wars: Episode 8” are expected to reveal what exactly happened with Luke Skywalker and his students all those years ago. The origin story of the Knights of Ren is also expected to be revealed. A new report now suggests that there will be a castle in one of these scenes, and the fans may have seen a brief glimpse of it in “The Force Awakens.”

[Spoiler alert]

A new video posted on the YouTube channel of Mike Zeroh states that there may be a castle scene in the sequel. The video shows the Force vision scene of Rey (Daisy Ridley) in “Force Awakens” and points to something in the background that many fans have missed.

In the scene where the leader of the Clan is killed with a Crossguard Lightsaber, a lightning strike reveals a structure in the background. Mike believes this to be a castle that belongs to the Clan. Details about this Clan and their home may be revealed in “Star Wars: Episode 8.”

This is not Darth Vader’s castle, Mike points out, because the planet is obviously not Mustafar. The castle was featured in “Rogue One,” along with a new character serving the Sith Lord, which many believe to be Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis).

The significance of the castle for the plot is still not clear. Mike said that it will be interesting to see if Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and his Knights of Ren will enter it. Will they find something important in there?

“Star Wars: Episode 8” is set to be released on Dec. 15 in Australia. The movie is being directed by Rian Johnson, and it is currently in the post production phase of development. The first full trailer is expected to be released in April at the Celebrations event.
