HTC One M8, the flagship smartphone of 2014 may be soon replaced by a successor model in three or four months from now. Rumours coming from China have revealed the details on the features of the successor model called the HTC One M9.

According to Android Headlines, the HTC One M9 specifications include 5.5-inch display screen that support quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. It is expected to be running on Snapdragon 805 chipset. The source claims that HTC might have committed an error by rolling out the HTC One M7 with 2 GB of RAM. Hence, the successor model would come loaded with 3 GB of RAM.

The HTC One M9 is expected to be equipped with a 16 MP camera enabled with Optical Image Stabilization feature on its rear side. Android Headlines states that the HTC One M7 featured an UltraPixel camera and the HTC One M8 features a Duo Camera module, so the Taiwanese tech giant might a new camera feature on the HTC One M9.

BoomSound speakers present on the HTC One M8 are considered among the best in the industry. For HTC One M9, the Taiwanese company has collaborated with the famous audio device manufacturing company Bose that indicates the successor model will come with enhanced audio features.

The HTC One M9 will house a larger 3,500 mAh battery. Both the previous models came with non-removable battery, the same is expected with the HTC One M9. The smartphone will come preloaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop. Android Headlines further states that the Taiwanese tech company may roll out the HTC One M9 with a reasonable price tag to compete with the Chinese smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi and Meizu that have rolled many affordable smartphone with high-end features.

As far as the chassis of the device is concerned, PhoneArena states that the device will be made up of aluminum silicon-carbide composite. The HTC One M9 is poised to get unleashed during the Mobile World Congress 2015 that will be held from March 2 to 5 in Barcelona.
