Months after the show’s Season 7 finale, “Sons of Anarchy” stars Charlie Hunnam and Walton Goggins have both been nominated for the 2015 Critics’ Choice TV Awards. Best known for their roles as SAMCRO’s Jax Teller and Venus Van Dam, both actors are representing the biker drama series come May 31 at the Beverly Hilton.

Currently filming for Guy Ritchie’s “Knights of the Rountable: King Arthur,” Hunnam is up against Aden Young (“Rectify”), Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul”), Freddie Highmore (“Bates Motel”), Matthew Rhys (“The Americans”) and Timothy Olyphant (“Justified”) for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

This year’s nomination is not the first time for the 35-year-old star, he was nominated for the same category in 2012. “Sons of Anarchy” wrapped up its seven-year run in December with Hunnam’s character ended his life on a speeding truck while driving his father’s motorcycle.

The show’s final ride ended with an all-time high despite the leak of how it all ends and was watched by 6.4 million total viewers. The 90-minute finale episode tops the show’s all-time high of 6.2 million total viewers on the Season 7 premiere on Sept. 9. Created by Kurt Sutter, “Sons of Anarchy” maintained its steady rise season after season and went all the way to the spotlight to its final ride.

Meanwhile, Walton Goggins is up with two nominations both for his roles in “Sons of Anarchy” and “Justified.” He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Boyd Crowder and is up against Mandy Patinkin (“Homeland”), Jonathan Banks (“Better Call Saul”), Craig T. Nelson (“Parenthood”), Christopher Eccleston (“The Leftovers”) and Ben Mendelsohn (“Bloodline”).

Googins is also head to head with “Justified” co-star Sam Elliot for Guest Performer in a Drama Series category. Other nominees are Cicely Tyson (“How To Get Away With Murder”), Julianne Nicholson (“Masters of Sex”), Linda Lavin (“The Good Wife”) and Lois Smith (“The Americans”).

The 43-year-old actor’s portrayal of Boyd Crowder also earned him a nomination on the same category in 2011, 2013 and 2014. His Venus Van Dam role also received a nod from last year’s Critics’ Choice Award.
