Australia is in for a royal season as the Queen prepares to visit in October.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, will arrive Oct. 19 in Canberra for a five-day tour. Before state events, the Queen and Duke will have two days to themselves, termed as "away days," on Oct. 24 and 25 in Melbourne.

On Oct. 26, Her Majesty and his Royal Highness will head off to Perth for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh will leave the country on Oct. 29.

The royal couple has visited the country several times before, starting in 1954, with a last visit in 2006. The two have been frequenting the country throughout the years, with the 1954 visit followed by tours in 1963, 1970, 1973, 1974, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1986, 1988, 1992, 2002.
