In Brazil, construction workers discovered a 33-foot anaconda at a construction site, breaking the record 26-foot python that construction workers also found and Malaysian Civil Defense Force staff captured in Penang on April 12. The Brazilian workers saw the anaconda at the Belo Monte Dam site after they set off an explosion to blast a cave which stood in the way of construction work.

The snake weighed about 400 kilogrammes, reports Inquistr. The cave where they found it is by the Xingu River in Altamirana town, Para State where workers are constructing the Belo Monte Dam, a hydroelectric dam complex expected to be the fourth-largest in the world after completion.
