Prince Harry has been crowned the world’s most eligible bachelor, beating Hollywood actor George Clooney who previously held the title.

The 31-year-old royal prince grabbed the number one spot on the World’s Top Ten Bachelors list, Mirror reported. Prince Harry dethroned Clooney, who held the title for three years.

The new list of World's Top Ten Bachelors is based on a recent survey conducted by Britain’s leading hair transplant centre, Crown Clinic in Manchester. For the survey, the centre asked 1,000 women to rank the five most important characteristics when assessing a bachelor’s eligibility, apart from being single.

The respondents identified charisma as the number one characteristic -- it makes a bachelor very attractive to women. It was followed by good looks, wealth, being a nice guy and last, having good hair. The British royal prince is known to be fun-loving, and he was recently seen sporting a ginger beard.

The other celebrities who made it to the top ten bachelor’s list include former One Direction band member Zayn Malik. The musician landed at second place, followed by Leonardo DiCaprio. Ed Sheeran landed at the fourth spot, while Twitter founder Jack Dorsey nabbed fifth place. Dorsey is the highest placed businessman on the list.

Four more actors landed at the bottom five list, with Jake Gyllenhaal at number 6, Michael Fassbender at number 7, “Superman” actor Henry Cavill at number 8 and James Franco at number 10. At the ninth spot is Malik’s former co-band member, One Direction’s Harry Styles.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and his brother Prince William have been busy attending various royal engagements and charity functions. The two brothers are set to support a Nottingham hip-hop opera. The project aims to bring to light the “futility of postcode rivalries through combining hip hop and opera,” according to BBC News. The hip-hop opera is the work of Nottingham’s Full Effect, which is funded by the royal princes’ Royal Foundation.

The group plans to start the production by October next year.
