Prince Harry attended the 2014 WellChild Awards in London held last Monday evening, Sept. 22. At the charity event, the 30-year-old Royal Prince met and spent time with the sick children where he received a warm hug from a 4-year-old boy in poor health.

According to a Today News report, WellChild hosted the annual awards show to honor the children's courage as they battle their serious illnesses together with the doctors, nurses, volunteers and family members who look after them. The seriously ill 4-year-old boy named Hartley became a nominee at the event.

Hartley's nomination earned him some time to spend with Prince Harry at a reception before the ceremony kicked off. The WellChild Web site revealed that Hartley is battling spina bifida, brittle bones and a heart defect.

The captured photos and video of Prince Harry's meeting with little Hartley showed the two boys talking, putting their hands up for a high-five and hugging before they finally went on with their own ways. Click HERE to see photos and video.

Prince Harry, a supporter of WellChild, gave a speech to the children present at the awards ceremony praising them for their courage in dealing with their physical illness. "Your stories are moving beyond words and remind us all of just how fantastic you all are. We can learn a great deal from your strength of character, resolve and humor in facing down challenges every day," Prince Harry stated.

Meanwhile, a HuffPost Good News report further confirmed that Prince Harry loves kids when he gave a 5-year-old girl named Isabelle Nixon a fairytale treatment at the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in London, England. According to the report, Prince Harry noticed that Isabelle was upset because she could not see the stage so he approached the little girl, lifted her and placed her on his shoulders.

Isabelle's mom, Taryn, revealed that her daughter had no idea at first who she was dancing with. When Isabelle found out that it was Prince Harry, Taryn revealed that her daughter became speechless but she kept on smiling while dancing to the performance of the Foo Fighters at the event.

Taryn further shared her daughter is now claiming to her friends that she is a princess and she danced with "Uncle Harry." Click HERE to see photos.
