Prince William and Kate Middleton feature in a new family portrait with their tots. The photograph was released by Kensington Palace on Christmas for royal fans. The picture is the second official portrait of the family-of-four.

William and Kate are joined by their two kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the photograph. The picture has been clicked by Chris Jelf in the grounds of Kensington Palace in October, Hello reports. All of them are seen smiling broadly in the new picture with leaves scattered on the grass lawn indicating autumn.

Kate is pictured balancing baby Charlotte on her knee, while William sits next to his wife. The 33-year-old prince keeps a watchful eye on little George. Kate wears blue jeans and jumper, William is clad in brown trousers, white shirt and blue jumper.

George and his baby sister Charlotte steal the show in the picture. The toddler is seen wearing blue shorts, white shirt and pale blue patterned jumper. He pairs his outfit with black Start Rite shoes and navy knee-length socks by Amaia Kids, E Online reports.

The two-year-old tot stands and grins away at the camera. His baby sister wears the same m&h floral dress and pink cardigan that she wore during her first official solo portraits that were released at the end of November. Kensington Palace took to Twitter and shared the picture.

The palace also shared the picture on Instagram. “The Duke and Duchess are hugely appreciative of all the warm messages they have received about their family this year and are very much looking forward to their first Christmas as a family of four,” it captioned the picture. “I thoroughly enjoyed photographing a very lovely family, although you have to be sharp as you don’t have long when there are two young children involved!” said Jelf, the photographer.

He added that he was honoured the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared the photograph with the public. He also hoped that everyone would like the picture.

Royal watchers and fans will be able to catch a glimpse of the family during Christmas day morning church serve at St Mary Magdalene, Sandringham on Friday. While baby Charlotte may not attend due to being too young, it is also not known whether little George will be there with his parents and other members of the British royal family. William himself attended Christmas service when he was four, walking reluctantly with his mother Princess Diana on a rainy morning.
