Known for her role as Fat Amy in the film franchise “Pitch Perfect,” Rebel Wilson has no problem about being plus-size. For the Australian actress, being in the plus-size range is an advantage as it helped her launch her career.

“I like plus size,” Wilson told Yahoo. “Plus is good, like if you get an A+, it’s heaps better than an A in your exams. I don’t mind it. I like the plus size thing, or being called a curvy girl.”

Wilson told the publication that she is not affected by what people say about her size. She pointed out that she has become “quite famous” for her “Pitch Perfect” character Fat Amy, so she is “not precious about adjectives.”

When it comes to choosing clothes, Wilson shared that she has to really search for “cool stuff.” Being plus-size, she said she would have to get certain shirts labeled oversized by a regular brand and jeans from a specific place.

According to Wilson, she wants people to be healthy and happy in their own size. She wants her fellow plus-size individuals to feel confident and not be ashamed of how they look.

Wilson pointed out that plus size was the perfect body type in the 18th century, and she hopes that it comes back soon. The “Pitch Perfect” actress added that in Hollywood, one of the good advocates for body positivity is the TLC show, “My Big Fat Fabulous Life.”

For Wilson, the TLC show is very endearing. She also considers the girls featured in the show as beautiful as models Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid and the Victoria’s Secret angels. She also revealed that she loves and regularly wears Victoria’s Secret bras.

Wilson is set to reprise her role as Fat Amy in “Pitch Perfect 3,” along with Hailee Steinfeld, Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow and Elizabeth Banks. After directing “Pitch Perfect 2,” Banks is set to take the director's seat again in “Pitch Perfect 3,” which is scheduled to be released on Aug. 4, 2017, according to Variety.
