Xander Mobus, who has lent his voice for games such as “Disgaea 5” and “Tales Of Zestiria,” will play the role of the protagonist. As the game opens, the protagonist has just started his time at Shujin High School in Tokyo as a second year student. He soon takes on the role of The Phantom, the leader of the Phantom Thieves. The Phantom Thieves, as director Katsura Hashino discussed with Persona Magazine (via Game Jouhou), is a group of misfits that “steal the hearts” of corrupt individuals in the hope of making the world better.

The character of Morgana is voiced by Cassandra Morris, who has also worked on the “Sailor Moon” as Avery and “League of Legends” as Nami. Morgana is a shapeshifter who accompanies the protagonist as a cat during the day and acts as the group’s guide to the world of shadows.

Meanwhile, Max Mittelman, who voiced Tredd Furia in “Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive,” voices Ryuji Sakamoto in “Persona 5.” After losing his status as a star athlete due to an injury, Ryuji has become known as a troublemaker. Like him and the protagonist, Ann Takami is a transfer to Shujin High School. She lived in the United States before moving to Tokyo. Though she has a few close friends, gamers will find out throughout the game that she is often gossiped about by her peers. She is said to be able to influence the destiny of the Phantom Thieves.

Matt Mercer voices Yusuke Kitagawa and has also worked on “Sailor Moon” as Prince Diamond and “Overwatch” was McCree. Yusuke is an art student from Kosei Public High School who has a complicated relationship with his adoptive parents. On the other hand, Makoto Niijima, who is voiced by “Sailor Moon”-alum Cherami Leigh, is the president of the student council and becomes a surprise member of the Phantom Thieves.

Erika Lindbeck -- who is most known for her role as Barbie in several “Barbie” animations -- is Futaba Sakura in “Persona 5.” Mostly antisocial in school, she thrives in computing, programing and hacking. She meets the protagonist and quickly becomes close with him. Meanwhile, Haru Okumura is voiced by Xanthe Huynh, who has also worked on “The Legend Of Heroes” and the “Atelier” series. Her character lives a very sheltered life and is often told what to do by her father, who is affluent in society. Robbie Daymond, who has starred as Darien/Tuxedo Mask in “Sailor Moon,” is the voice of Goro Akechi, a detective who is investigating the Phantom Thieves.
