It is not indicated in the video how Paul and Ian ended up singing the 90s classic song but the entertainment news Web site speculates that it may have been Paul's idea since the actor seem to be an avid fan of 90s music.

"When you meet Paul Wesley, and you're talking to him and you're hugging on him, I just want you to know: that's what he's thinking," said Ian Somerhalder to the audience regarding his co-star's admiration for the song.

Mr Wesley agreed to what Ian said and even suggested that "Ice Ice Baby" will be his entrance song at conventions.

"Actually, anytime I come on stage, I want 'Ice Ice Baby'," teased Paul. The 31-year-old actor may be cooling things up for the fans who watched the "Ice Ice Baby" cover video with Ian Somerhalder, but his off-screen romantic life appears to be heating up.

Paul Wesley and girlfriend Phoebe Tonkin were spotted on an apartment hunt at the Chelsea neighborhood in New York City, according to the Fashion & Style report. The sighting has ignited the rumours that the new couple is ready to take their relationship to the next level by moving in together.

In the Classicalite report, Paul Wesley revealed during the TV Fanatic interview that he looks forward to appear in an episode in the "Vampire Diaries" spin-off series, "The Originals," where his lady love stars as pregnant werewolf, Hayley Marshall.

However, interaction with another character is what Paul Wesley had in mind and not an on-screen pairing with girlfriend Phoebe Tonkin.

"I think there's an unresolved bromance between Stefan and Klaus that I think was really short, in my opinion," shared Mr Wesley.

The actor further added: "They really cut it short, and I thought it was very unfortunate because I think they had really cool stuff in the 1920s flashbacks, and then it was like, 'Bam.' It just ended. I think that they had a really interesting thing going for a minute, and for some reason the writers did not want to pursue that. So, it would be nice to do that."

In the meantime, watch Paul Wesley as vampire Stefan Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 that airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW network.
