Emma Swan/Dark Swan (Jennifer Morrison) will need the Storybrooke heroes’ help and trust when it comes to fixing the mess she made in the winter finale of “Once Upon a Time” (OUAT) Season 5. Fans of ABC’s fantasy drama series will also find out in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5, episode 11 titled “Swan Song” if Emma can save her relationship with Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue).

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 spoilers.

On Twitter, “Once Upon a Time” series creator Adam Horowitz recently teased a portion of the winter finale episode’s script that involves the Emma-Regina dynamic. The winter finale script suggested that Emma has a plan and she wants Regina Mills/Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) to promise that she will not tell anyone.

Emma will be dealing with Dark Captain Hook, who summoned all of the Dark Ones from the Underworld, in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 winter finale. The Dark Ones will be fulfilling their ultimate plan, which is to snuff out the light, in Storybrooke.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR), OUAT cast member Colin O’Donoghue talked about Captain Hook’s revenge plan and the “Captain Swan” relationship. O’Donoghue teased that moving everyone in Storybrooke into the Underworld through the opened portal is Captain Hook’s way of settling his old score with Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle).

“His thing is revenge on Rumple, and he’s willing to let the darkness use him in whatever way it needs to get that done,” O’Donoghue explained to THR. When asked if there is some hope for the Captain Swan relationship, the 34-year-old Irish actor responded that it is pretty much a complicated thing because he does not know if Emma and Captain Hook could work since they both have darkness in them.

O’Donoghue further explained that it is very difficult for Captain Hook to think as the Dark One because he is kind of drunk on the darkness’ power. The winter finale episode of “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 is scheduled to air on Sunday night, Dec. 6, at 8/7c on ABC.
