The Duke of Cambridge and his wife Duchess Catherine Middleton visit a youth reception in Ottawa, Canada, their first stop for an 8-day tour of the country.

The Royal Couple was greeted by a roaring crowd of Canadian enthusiasts, fans and political leaders upon arriving in Canada. The pair first headed to Ottawa's National War Memoral then to Riddeu Hall for a special reception celebrating the young volunteers of Canada. The couple was greeted by Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs John Baid upon stepping out of the plane. Prime Minister Stephen Harper made sure to welcome Will and Kate after the two went on a short drive to visit his office.

The crowd went uncontrollable upon sighting the Duke and Duchess, screaming chants "we love you Kate" and "Will! Kate!". It was evident the locals were more than delighted to have the couple visit their country, for one day the two will reign over the nation. Kate arrived in a skin-tight lace blue dress on upon her arrival, and another blue number when she visited the youth convention.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will go around Canada until July 8th.
