Included in the Neon PC Game Bundle is "Binaries," a game that "wants you to do well while it’s throwing spikes at you," according to its developer, Ant Workshop. Steam/Ant Workshop

Good news, PC gamers. An awesome assortment of 12 illuminating games is currently available for only US$2.99 (AU$3.98). The collection, which contains eight new-to-bundle games, boasts an average of 85 percent positive Steam reviews.

The Neon Bundle games all come with individual Steam keys. The PC game bundle covers an array of genres from dragon-filled adventure and 1980s’ style horror to space age ball-rolling action and violent RPG. Here are the highlights of the Neon Bundle.

Road to Ballhalla

“Road to Ballhalla” requires the player to move with the music to overcome difficult hazards like laser beams or silly camera angles that try to explode the game ball. The dynamic music is done by Emmy-nominated composer Nicholas Singer and is tailored to the rhythm and style of each level. Secret areas lead to other secret areas in this speed-rolling game.

Townsmen

Develop a tiny village to a majestic medieval empire with a flourishing economy and happy inhabitants on “Townsmen.” Be careful, though, as bandits are lurking close by, and they intend to plunder and pillage the peaceful town. Protect the villagers by building barracks, guarding towers and employing fearless combatants.

Binaries

On “Binaries,” the player has to make way through more than 100 levels of wicked “puzzle-solving and death-defying challenges.” To help with gameplay concentration, the trendy adaptive music score ramps up when everything is fine, but it also dies down when a player gets stuck. According to Ant Workshop, the developer and publisher of “Binaries,” the game “wants you to do well while it’s throwing spikes at you.”

Trebuchet

“Trebuchet” is an award-winning sports and strategy indie game. Each player begins with a set of balls and pieces, moving their blocks from one place to another to free respective balls and then tilting the board to line them up. Roll balls into an opponent’s block and it gets demolished. The goal of the game is to eliminate the enemy’s King or to reach the opposing King’s corner first with one’s own.
