Secrets and threats hound Ramsay Street on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Wednesday, romance seems to take off between Ned (Ben Hall) and Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta). Things had certainly not been easy for Elly, what with the snake bite and her miscarriage, and she needs some serious cheering up. However, it seems Ned is also preoccupied with trying to lie low – he doesn’t want his old bike mates to know he’s back in town.

Meanwhile, Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor) thinks he finally got the man behind the unfortunate incidents happening in the neighbourhood. However, it seems Ramsay Street is not yet free from jeopardy as the real culprit is still on the loose. Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the Aug.17 episode include Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner), Charlie Hoyland (Alexander McGuire), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) and Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney).

“Neighbours” also stars Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl (Alan Fletcher), Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Madison Robinson (Sarah Ellen), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Mer), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin), Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall), , Sheila Canning (Colette Mann) and Jimmy Williams (Darcy Tadich).

Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode. In the trailer, Ned meets Elly and sparks seem to fly between the two. Digital Spy reports that the two agree to go for a drink together. However, Ned seems rattled when he spots an old biker mate – it looks like he’s hiding a dark secret.

Meanwhile, the preview video also shows Charlie hiding as Clive looks for him with a wooden stick. Mark realises Charlie is missing, and Elly spots the snake and screams for help. Digital Spy spoilers says that Mark and Steph find Charlie with Clive. When Mark searches Clive’s vehicle, he finds the bricks and later proves that it’s a match with the one used to vandalise the law office. Mark compels Clive to come clean, but the old man keeps mum. According to spoilers, the culprit behind the snakes is still out there and the danger is not yet over.

Elsewhere, Paige peeps at the church to listen to Jack’s homily and later goes to confession with him.

“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, Jack tried to figure out what happened the other night and how ended up injuring his fist. When Mark came over and mentioned Tyler’s name, Jack remembered going over to Paige’s house and seeing her kissing Tyler. Recalling how mad he was at that time, Jack worried that he got the injury for beating Tyler up. Jack tried to look for Tyler but wasn’t able to find him, so he asked for Amy’s help. Later, Amy was able to find Tyler at Paige’s house. Amy told Paige about Jack’s concerns about her joining a professional boxing match. Instead of being touched with Jack’s care, Paige took it the wrong way.

Meanwhile, Jack finally learned about what happened – out of rage, he punched a wall at the community centre. As Jack was fixing up the place, Paige arrived and confronted him for sending Amy to give her a lecture. Paige softened, however, after seeing Jack’s injured hand. When Paige asked what happened, Jack admitted that he hit the wall after seeing her with Tyler. Paige tried to convince Jack to admit that he made the wrong decision. Failing this, she told Jack to let her live her life -- and that applies with boxing and dating someone else.

Paul confronted Gary about what happened with Terese. Gary dodged Paul’s suspicions and said he’d be having lunch with her that day. Paul reckoned he could turn this to his advantage. After having a nice lunch with Gary, Terese went back to her office. Paul arrived and informed her that she no longer have Matilda’s vote in any shareholder meeting at the motel. Paul made it appear that Gary was responsible for making Terese miss Amber’s call about this news. He also said he’s keeping the chef. Later, Terese saw Gary and Paul talking and assumed that they’re conniving against her.

Sonya set up a meeting with Clive, along with Karl, Mark and Toadie. While Sonya had good intentions, it didn’t go well as Clive remained adamant. Meanwhile, Mark got a call that a snake had been found, but when he showed the photo to Elly to identify, Elly said what bit her looked totally different. Mark realised that someone had deliberately let snakes loose around the neighbourhood. Charlie was also there and suggested that perhaps it’s Clive who did it. The teen headed out and tried to hunt for snakes. Amid his search, he spotted Clive and sneaked to his vehicle. Charlie found a set of bricks similar to what was thrown to Toadie’s office, but Clive caught him snooping with his stuff.
