Nearly a week after Konami launched the special nuclear disarmament event for “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” no console version of the game has fully accomplished the feat of having no nuclear missiles. Although the number of recorded nuclear missiles per console has drastically decreased, one console still has thousands upon thousands of players with nuclear missiles.

As promised, Konami has yet again updated the count of nuclear missiles found in “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” per console. Just like last time, the update was sent out via a tweet from the official account of Konami. The most recent count is as follows:

  • Xbox 360: 31
  • Xbox One: 44
  • PlayStation 3: 135
  • PlayStation 4: 165
  • Steam: 10,450

The console versions have yet to fully deplete the number of nuclear missiles in-game. Doing so will reward all players of the specific console with a short movie commemorating the milestone. The short cut scene has been leaked and is watchable online, but there are those who still want to accomplish the feat.

So far, the consoles closest to accomplishing the feat are the Xbox One and Xbox 360. There are many factors that could be considered with the result. One of these is the number of owners of the console and “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” itself. The fact that Xbox consoles are behind the PlayStation in terms of sales could have affected the overall result.

Suprisingly, the PC version of the game is still home to thousands of players with nuclear missiles in their bases. PCGamer notes that the high number of remaining missiles on the Steam version of the game could be attributed to the fact that PC players have easy access of the "MGS5" cheat engine, so players are able to do whatever they want easily.
