“Lucifer” Season 1 finale airs April 25 on Fox. The penultimate episode (“#TeamLucifer”) has some gripping moments, leaving fans thrilled and worried about the cliffhanger in the season ender. What happens next to Lucifer (Tom Ellis), Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt), Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German)?

Spoiler alert: This update contains “Lucifer” Season 1 spoilers. Details include the developments in Episode 12 (original air date: April 18).

To quickly recap “Lucifer” Season 1, Episode 12: A member in a group of so-called Satanists is murdered. The preaching con man from a previous episode comes back to lead a group of protesters and pin the crime on Lucifer Morningstar. It turns out madman Malcolm (Kevin Rankin) killed the victim to actually get Lucifer’s approval.

Meanwhile, Amenadiel is hurt after realizing that Mazikeen is willing to betray and kill him for Lucifer. Maze, however, is visibly troubled, as if she has developed some real feelings for Lucifer’s brother. Heaven’s siblings get in a mad brawl, which Maze manages to stop.

At the crime scene, Detective Chloe Decker finds some hints of evidence that Lucifer could be involved in the week’s murder case. It gets worse when the preaching con man turns up dead in Lucy’s bar. Chloe arrests Lucifer at gun point before her team comes flooding in, shocking and gravely disappointing Lucifer.

“Lucifer feels betrayed by Chloe. It really takes him to a place he's never been before,” Tom Ellis told Comic Book Resources. The actor added there will be “a few bombshells” in the show’s first season finale.

“The one thing I can tease about the episode is throughout the whole season, I've been asked, ‘Are we ever going to see Hell?’ In the finale, yes, we do. That's all I'm going to say,” Ellis added.

Hell breaks loose in the “Lucifer” Season 1 finale. Fans and the curious viewers should watch to see if the show deserved the second season that Fox has already ordered.
