In his attempt to collaborate with country singers, Lionel Ritchie was able to thrive in his pursuit of coming up with a country album as he features 13 most famous country artists who will be performing a duet with him.

He will be performing in this year's 45th annual CMA Awards where he will be joined by other singers such as Darius Rucker, Little Big Town and Rascal Flatts this November 9 in Nashville.

This much-awaited album is set for release this March as 13 of his famous songs will be included in his track list and will be sung in duets with other country artists.

Included in the track are his songs: All Night Long with Jimmy Buffett, Dancing on the Ceiling with Rascal Flatts, Deep River Woman with Little Big Town, Easy with Willie Nelson, Endless Love with Shania Twain, Hello with Jennifer with Nettles, Just for You with Billy Currington, Lady with Kenny Rogers, My Love with Kenny Chesney, Sail On with Tim McGraw, Say You, Say Me with Jason Aldean, Stuck on You with Rucker and You Are with Blake Shelton

Born and raised in Tuskegee Alabama, Richie obtained a degree in Tuskegee Institute and has become a founding member of the famous band Commodores. It was in the 70's when the band gained prominence as three of his songs three songs "Brick House", "Easy", and "Three Times a Lady" garnered a series of hits during that time.

He continued to flourish in the 80's where he succeeded as a solo artist and made him won an Academy Award for his original record and theme song from film White Nights, "Say You, Say Me" and another five awards from the Grammys.

Richie believed that his songwriting progressed and that his songs perfectly fit the country genre. As a country boy, he felt that his being born and raised in Alabama brought out the country spirit in him that doing the project was just so natural. He also added that Tuskegee was the perfect melting pot that influenced him to be a great song writer. Tuskegee is what he calls home.
