Former NBA champion Lamar Odom gave an exclusive interview to “The Doctors” about his near-death experience in 2015 drug binge at a Nevada brothel. Odom sat down for an interview with host Dr. Travis Stork before entering a rehab last week. He opened up about his disturbed relationship with ex-wife Khloe Kardashian.

In October 2015, Lamar Odom was found unconscious due to drug overdose at a Nevada brothel. “An ambulance took Lamar to Pahrump hospital, where doctors intubated him ... an indication he could not breathe on his own,” reported TMZ Sports.

“I wasn’t in a good place mentally, especially mentally, before the incident happened,” Odom said in the recent exclusive interview that he gave to “The Doctors.” He further mentioned that he was in a “dark place” due to disturbed relationship with ex-wife Khloe Kardashian.

“I couldn’t talk. Nothing would come out when I would open my mouth. So, I was scared,” added the former basketball player. It was Khloe Kardashian who told Odom that he was in coma as he was unaware of his near-fatal experience. Lamar Odom feels that he is alive so that he could tell his story to the world.

Travis Stork said that they decided to telecast certain bits of the interview after the information was leaked publicly. Stork mentions, “We were going to hold that interview until he completes the treatment.” Odom will be completing his treatment in San Diego.

The interview clip ends when Stork asks Odom about reports of his recent usage of harmful substances. In January, the entire interview will be aired after Lamar Odom completes his treatment.
