Lamar Odom health update: Former NBA star conscious and communicating

There is finally some good news about Lamar Odom’s condition. He is reportedly out of a coma and is able to speak. '

After having been put on life support since his medical emergency on Tuesday, contrasting reports have come out, and this is one of the few signs of improvement in his condition, which was earlier believed to be deteriorating.

According to CNN, the former NBA and reality TV star regained consciousness on Friday. Not only that, he reportedly said “Hi” to his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian. If these reports are true, it would mean that he is no longer intubated and able to breathe on his own.

FOX Sports confirms the same claim and states that Odom is conscious and is able to communicate. He was reportedly able to give a thumbs up. However, he is not out of danger since he faced problems with multiple organs and was under kidney dialysis since he got admitted to the Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center on Tuesday.

Odom was treated at a local hospital before being transferred to Sunrise in Las Vegas, just hours after he was found unresponsive at a Nevada brothel called Love Ranch South. As previously reported, he allegedly took a sex enhancement pill known as an “herbal Viagra,” during his three-day stay at the brothel.

He also reportedly consumed alcohol and possibly cocaine throughout the course of his Love Ranch binge. He checked in on Saturday afternoon and stayed there until he was found unconscious on Tuesday.

Khloe and most of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, as well as Odom’s kids and ex-fiance have been spotted at the hospital. With Khloe still legally married to Odom, Us Weekly reports that she is still responsible for making medical decisions while he is incapacitated. The pair signed divorce papers back in July but the documents have not been finalised by a judge.
