With “Sons of Anarchy” Charlie Hunnam playing the titular role as King Arthur, veteran actor Eric Bana is set to play as Uther Pendragon, King Arthur’s father, in Guy Ritchie’s “Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.” Set to be told over six installments, the upcoming film also cast Astrid Berges-Frisbey as Guinevere and Jude Law who is currently in talks for playing a villainous character.

Not as big as his previous roles, the “Deliver Us From Evil” star recently wrapped up his role in Disney’s “The Finest Hour.” Also attached to star in the upcoming action comedy “Special Correspondents,” Bana’s involvement to the film is set to help Ritchie’s ambitious new take on the King Arthur mythology.

“For Bana, the role isn’t the biggest, but the studio and Ritchie were always looking for a big name for the part to make a splash for the time he is onscreen, originally going to Liam Neeson before circling back with Bana,” according to Variety.

Known for her role as mermaid Syrena in “Pirate of the Caribbean: On Strangers Tide,” Berges-Frisbey is Hunnam’s leading lady after the role circled around Elizabeth Olsen, Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander. The CK Reveal model and the Spanish actress was photographed in August 2014 leaving the Soho Hotel in London before studio confirmed their involvement to the movie.

Berges-Frisbey was cast in September 2014, while the “Crimson Peak” star was cast in August 2014 in Ritchie’s multi-film franchise. Hunnam is known for his role in FX biker drama series playing SAMCRO’s Jax Teller.

Meanwhile, Jude Law was last seen in “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and is set to play the lead in “Don Hemingway.” Details of Law’s villainy role in “King Arthur” is still being kept under wrap with various project still waiting for his attention.

Scheduled to premiere on July 22, 2016, the plot of the movie is being kept under wraps with Niija Kuykendall and Cate Adams overseeing the studio. Lionel Wigram, Akiva Goldsman and Tory Tunell are set to produce the film alongside Joby Harold who is also in charge with the script.
