HTC, the Taiwanese-based smartphone manufacturer recently announced the release of the newest Android smartphone called HTC One S and many experts are stating that this is one of the best Android smartphones released by the company.

HTC One S is the second smartphone that was released as part of HTC's One series alongside HTC One X and HTC One V. Some experts consider the HTC One X as the middle child among the three smartphones. Though that is the case, it has the features and specifications of a fast and competitive Android smartphone.

One of the things that are highlighted in HTC One S is its body and display since it has an aluminum body shell and weighs less. If compared to other smartphones like Droid Razr Maxx and Verizon Galaxy Nexus, it is considerably lighter than the mentioned devices. Another thing which makes the HTC One S stand out is due to its speed and performance. According to the research study conducted by ABI Research, the processor in HTC One S is one of the best among all of the Android-based smartphones in the market. Here is a summary of the research that they conducted regarding HTC One S:

  • Highest performing dual-core handset/tablet on the market
  • Very small footprint for the complete modem, application processor, and connectivity solution
  • The Adreno 225 graphics core performance remained on par with prior generation designs
  • On par battery performance compared to prior generation.

Though that is the case, there are also some drawbacks in terms of specifications for HTC One S. This includes the lack of internal memory storage, lack of NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, and removable battery.
