Take-Two, the creator of NBA2K videogame franchise, announced a deal to acquire Farmville creator Zynga

Speculations about the much-awaited game "GTA 6" have reached a new high after Take-Two Interactive, rockstar Games' parent company, acquired Zynga. An insider has also provided information about the game's release window.

"GTA 6 Mobile"

Take-Two Interactive announced it acquired Zynga, a social and mobile game developer, for a staggering $12.7 billion, making it one of the most expensive acquisitions in the history of video games. But, the recent move by Rockstar Games' parent company excited and worried fans, with some toying with the possibility that it might lead to the release of "GTA 6 Mobile" version.

Speculations about the "GTA 6 Mobile" version stemmed from Take-Two Interactive CEO's answer during a recent Q&A session. His statement suggests that the company plans to allow Zynga to create mobile games based on Take-Two's properties.

"Perhaps most importantly we have the ability together, from both a development and a publishing point of view, to optimize the creation of new titles based on Take-Two's core intellectual property," the CEO noted.

In addition to that, Take-Two gave a presentation showing the company's intention to bring some of its most popular franchises to mobile devices and other platforms through Zynga.

"Combining Zynga's expertise in mobile and next-generation platforms with Take-Two's best-in-class capabilities and intellectual property will enable us to further advance our mission to connect the world through games while achieving significant growth and synergies together," Zynga CEO Frank Gibeau said.

Announcement and release window

While Take-Two Interactive has not yet said anything about "GTA 6," Rockstar insider Tez2 has shared on GTA Forums some interesting details about the game.

"The new year is pretty much a given for the announcement of the next title" from Rockstar Games, the insider said.

Tez2 has not revealed the name of the game but the only titles that could potentially be announced this year are "GTA 6" and "Bully 2." The insider also mentioned the game could release as early as 2023.

Unfortunately, since neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive has said anything about "GTA 6," the latest information about the game's possible announcement and release is speculative at this stage.
